From Microsoft
If you encounter a site which does not recognize Internet Explorer 7, a new tool known as the User Agent String Utility has been created to help you work around the problem. The utility comes in the form of a small executable that opens an Internet Explorer 7 instance that emulates Internet Explorer 6 by sending the Internet Explorer 6 user agent string. It also provides a mechanism for you to report problem web sites to Microsoft so that we can follow up with the affected site owners.
Download the tool here.
Just a spot where I can put up game ideas, technology, theories, and other misc items that come up.

Firefox and HTML Links....
From CNet..
Single Window mode
Do you hate it when links on Web pages open new windows (because they set a target attribute on the link)? You can force Firefox to open those links in a new tab instead of a new window. This is called Single Window mode. It doesn't prevent all new windows, but it catches most of them. The radio buttons for setting this preference are in the Preferences window, but only if Firefox knows you want to see them. Go to About:config and set browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs to true.
Once that is done...
- Go Tools - Options - Tabs
- Select Checkbox beside "Force links that open new windows to open in:"
- Choose "a new tab" radio button.
- Hit 'Ok' and your done!

Tired of updating windows xp.....
Hello Reinstall.....
Hello ... 1 to 2 hrs of updating / patching / reboots... arrghh! :(
*begins to pull hair out*
But! there is a solution.
Autopatcher
This little gem contains all the updates, and you only need to reboot once!
It comes in a few flavors, with the full version containing extra utilities that you may want. The Lite release is a slimmed down version of the full release, with only the updates and no extras.

Serproxy
Nice little application....
Serproxy is a multi-threaded proxy program for redirecting network socket connections to/from serial links. The proxy allows other hosts on the network to communicate with the system on the remote end of the serial link. Works under linux and windows.

Windows Based Automation
Great little application that was found...
AutoIt v3
AutoIt v3 is a freeware BASIC-like scripting language designed for automating the Windows GUI and general scripting. It uses a combination of simulated keystrokes, mouse movement and window/control manipulation in order to automate tasks in a way not possible or reliable with other languages (e.g. VBScript and SendKeys). AutoIt is also very small, self-contained and will run on 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP, 2003 out of the box with no annoying "runtimes" required! You can even make compiled executable scripts that can run without AutoIt being installed!
